welcome
Hi, I'm Patrick Lei, a Visiting Assistant Professor (postdoc) in mathematics at Boston College, where I am mentored by Qile Chen. Previously, I completed my PhD at Columbia University, where I was advised by Melissa Liu. My research is in algebraic geometry. Please click on the arXiv logo below to see my papers.
About me
You may also know me from:
- UMass Amherst , where I was advised by Paul Hacking and also majored in computer science
- We may have met at a conference or a seminar.
I study both geometric and computational aspects of enumerative geometry, particularly in higher genus. See these notes or this SCGP program for an introduction to some themes in enumerative geometry.
Besides doing math, I also enjoy running and playing the piano. I also like to learn about the historical evolution of Chinese dialects. I'm always open to suggestions for affordable but legitimately high-quality Sichuan cuisine.
